This collection consists of one bound volume and two typescripts transcribed from the included sound tape of an oral history interview. This interview took place on May 18 and 22, 1985 in Provo and Salt Lake City, Utah where Gathers was serving a mission for the Mormon Church. It was conducted by Alan Cherry for the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies, Brigham Young University, as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project.
